McCombs Wedding ~ Cullman, AL

” We met at the church we got married at. I was 16 and he was 19.
We were in the same youth group and one night our youth pastor decided
that he was going to give us assigned seats because we all sat by the same people too much.
Well it just so happened that Austin ended up sitting beside me.
Trying to be your typical flirty 16 year old girl, I asked him for his hat just to see it.
Probably about a week later I asked him for the keys to his brand new camero and for some reason he gave them to me.
I told him that I was going to test drive his car and he told me that if I could drive a stick shift then I could drive it.
He reeled me in by trying to teach me how to drive it and almost 4 and a half years later, I still don’t know how to.”

” He proposed on 12-13-14.
I knew everything that was going to happen. (Thanks Leigha Lentini)
He wanted to go to Welti Falls in the middle of December and Leigha and I
had gone to look for bridesmaid dresses for her wedding and I rode with her
so naturally she had to take me to Welti falls to meet Austin.
When we got there he had already went back to the falls and I called him when we finally made it back there.
He was at the top of the falls on some ledge looking down and wanted us to come up there.
And I told him that we couldn’t make it up there by ourselves so he had to come down and help us.
When he got to the bottom where we were he said that we were going back up.
He had to help me and Leigha both to make it up to the top.
When we got up there he showed me the tree that he had carved A ❤️ S in when we first started dating.”

He turned away from me and tried to take my ring out of his jacket pocket
and my ring box got stuck in his jacket which I thought was the most hilarious thing ever.
When he finally got it out of his jacket, he turned around and got down on one knee and
said alright Summer, will you marry me?

When I called my parents to tell them the first thing that my dad said was “well it’s not Christmas yet”.
Apparently Austin was supposed to propose right at Christmas.”

” My favorite part of the wedding day was marrying Summer
and when the wedding and all the stress was finally over with.”
– Austin McCombs

” My favorite part about the wedding day was finally after almost 4 years of being together,
getting to call Austin my husband.
And having our friends and families be with us.
– Summer McCombs

” What I love about Summer is her nose and the little freckles on it.
I love her chubby chipmunk cheeks and
l love how she always laughs at my dumbs jokes.”
– Austin McCombs

” What I love about Austin- his very long eyelashes,
the way his nose sometimes crinkles if he slides his glasses up a certain way
and the way that he laughs whenever he thinks something is really funny.
It always makes me laugh too before I even know what he’s talking about.”

The McCombs wedding was short, sweet and beautiful!
The bride and groom did the ‘First Look‘ and were able to do their pictures together before the ceremony.
I love how we had plenty of time to redo the same poses from their engagement session over a year ago!

Summer you were such a gorgeous bride! Your beautiful dress was perfect on you!
Thank you Mr and Mrs McCombs for choosing me to capture your engagement session and now your wedding.
You have such a sweet love story and even sweeter that you got married in the same place you met.
I hope and pray that you two have a wonderful and blessed marriage!
