Doss Wedding ~ Elizabethtown, NC

We met in Ft. SILL Oklahoma. Army basic training. The training started 8 July 2014 and we said goodbye on the 19th of September, 2014. We were in the same Platoon, 2nd platoon Reapers.
We didn’t see each other again in person until may of may 2015 when all our training was finally finished.

” It was a week before Christmas Josh came to visit me in Pennsylvania.
He said he has never been to the city so on the 19th of December, 2015 we went to visit NYC. My whole family went along too.
We arrived at the city towards the evening time and we went to all the trademarks, starting with the world Trade center.
Josh was in awe seeing the beautiful city at night. We took pictures and that ended the first visit location. Next we went to the Rockerfeller Center where the big Christmas tree was. We made it to the base of the tree and right then and there a couple near by had a proposal! It was really nice and I was happy for them but I noticed Josh seemed frustrated and I didn’t know why.
I remember always trying to hold his hand but he just wanted to keep them in his pockets. Our last stop was times Square.
I was excited to show Josh this location. I walked right towards the center and told him “this is the center of times square” the heart of New York haha, my dad of course lost his glasses at the moment so I went to try to help him.
Then my mom tells me to go pose for a picture with Josh.
As I am trying to pose Josh asks me to face him so I do and he kneels down on his knee! “

“I couldn’t believe it! He was speechless too, so nervous and he couldn’t get a word out!
But I still heard the question, with the ring in his hand!!!
I said YES!
In the middle of times Square Josh and I along with the whole family had a big group hug!!!

It was wonderful! ” – Karen Doss

” Dancing with my dad, he was so nervous and shy, I whispered to him just twirl me and it will be alright.
I loved when I was able to play the violin! My awesome violin solo! But the whole performance was beautiful !
The photo booth was a complete success! So many fun and silly pictures!
Whacking Josh in the face with cake was funny too!
Oh I have so many favorites! Getting ready with girls and taking pictures with them.
The ceremony was beautiful! I just loved the whole thing! ” – Karen Doss

” My favorite part on our wedding day for me would have to be the moment
when I finally got to see my beautiful bride
after a long day of nerves and missing her! ” – Josh Doss

” I love Josh! His passion, his drive and his vision. For himself and for us.
I love how he makes me laugh, and how he laughs too!
His patience and his love is in his actions everyday! I love josh! ”
– Karen Doss

” I love how supporting she is for me over anything I do.
She is always there for me and there to encourage me when things get tough.
She is the most beautiful and loving woman I have ever met.
I am so blessed to have her in my life! ”
– Josh Doss

Josh and Karen had a beautiful destination wedding at Cape Fear Vineyard and Winery in Elizabethtown, NC.
This adorable small town was chosen so both sides of the families from the North and South didn’t have to travel too far.
The Winery had the cutest cottages for all the bridal party and family to stay and get ready for the big day!
We were worried about a storm coming in and the idea of the ceremony being pushed early was almost put in place.
Thankfully God had spared our area and kept the rain away!
Josh being emotional during the ceremony, definitely had everyone else, including me, tearing up!
It was such a beautiful ceremony over looking the water!

Every detail of this wedding was so beautifully planned and created.
There was so many cute specialized details that Josh’s mom, Patty did a great job putting together!
It was such a fun day! From the fun wedding party, the awesome DJ, to the loose chickens and miniature horse roaming around the venue, it couldn’t have been more perfect! I even had the chance to dance with my own toddler.

I am so blessed to be a part of this wonderful family! I have shot Josh’s sister’s engagement session,
their whole family session, his own senior session ( can you believe that?!), engagement session and now Wedding day!
Such a wonderful group of Christian men and women!
Thank you Josh, Karen and your whole family for choosing me to be a part of this special occasion!
I feel so honored to be a part of it! You two make the cutest couple! You’re both so much fun and super sweet!
May God bless your marriage and future!
I can’t wait to see what God has in store for the two of you!

Thank you for reading!

<3 Always,
KatParker xoxo
